2023 QLD STATE YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS @ MOOLOOLABA was a jam packed weekend where our U11 to U15 Nippers gave their all on the beach and in the water. Spirits were high as the sun shone and superb ‘Team Palmy’ camaraderie was on display. Our Nippers tried their hardest, achieved personal bests and cheered each other on throughout the carnival. So many outstanding performances by individuals as well as in our team events.
Some notable achievements included:
– Gold for Kai Agyik in U15 Male Sprint
– Silver for Minka Te Heu Heu Tukino in U15 Female Sprint AND a Bronze in U15 Female Flags.
– Semi finals and finals reached by so many in the water, including a 6th in Board rescue for the U13 boys.
Plus so many other stellar performances by our younger members.
Overall, Palm Beach was represented wonderfully over the weekend, both through our members finding competitive success and giving it their all, no matter their placings. Congratulations to all our Nipper legends – we are all very proud of you. Thanks to all involved in getting our Youth to States and back safely!
