Surf lifesavers are trained volunteers who patrol Queensland beaches on weekends and public holidays, ensuring public safety. They wear the iconic red and yellow uniform and handle rescues, first aid, emergency care, and surf safety education. The focus is on preventative action, minimizing hazards and risks before emergencies occur.
