Thanks to Point Danger Branch for hosting another entertaining Annual Awards night on Saturday 30 July 2022. This awards night recognises the contributions of lifesavers and members from the 11 clubs across our Branch – from Tallebudgera to Rainbow Bay.
Congratulations to all award winners on the night, but in particular, to our very own special members who were recognised with awards.
Our Youth Development Officers Yasmina Phadel and Clayton Kimeklis accepted the Youth Development Club of the Year award, which also recognised our Junior Club. Yasmina and Clayton are pictured with Club President Mary Farrell.
Louise Ruff was awarded Masters Athlete of the Year in recognition of her surf sports achievements at Branch and Aussies level. Louise was also recognised for her contributions at club level with our Nippers program, volunteer coaching and support at carnivals.
Finally, our Club President Mary Farrell was recognised for her dedication to educating our members with a 10 Year Training Service certificate. Huge thanks to Mary for her ongoing commitment to our club and its future.
Congratulations to all our members, and good luck to Lou and our Junior Club who will go on to represent our Club and Branch at the SLSQ Awards of Excellence coming up on Saturday 20 August.
