We’re making waves during our ‘Ocean Fiesta’ this September and October.
We’ve doubled down on our commitment to sustainability with ‘Ocean Fiesta’, an epic celebration of all things ocean and marine life running through September and October 2020.
Following on from our 2019 win for ‘Best Surf Club on the Gold Coast’ and the one year anniversary of our ‘Ocean Friendly’ certification from the Surfrider Foundation, we are making good on our commitment to the preservation of our stunning seaside location by inviting all Gold Coasters to our inaugural ‘Ocean Fiesta’.
‘Ocean Fiesta’ will bring the community together in the spirit of conservation and celebration of our precious marine backyard, with a program awash with live entertainment, educational activities, sustainability soirees and a range of delicious specials.
Here’s a little more on what you can expect;
Welcoming newest Palm Beach Surf Life Saving Club sponsor, Glowing Green Australia, for their advice and expertise reducing our Club’s environmental footprint. We’re further reducing single use plastics and wastage by launching the latest green initiative ‘Palmy Crusaders’.
Developed with Glowing Green Australia, ‘Palmy Crusaders’ is an environment friendly, 100 per cent compostable education and activity leaflet for kids where they can learn about marine animals, recycling and discover why protecting our environment is so vitally important here on the Gold Coast.
During the upcoming school holidays, your little crusaders can also do a deep dive into the lives of turtle, weird and wonderful nudibranchs plus learn about dune care and have some beach fun with bespoke educational opportunities on offer. To book an activity with local not for profit groups Ocean Connect or GECKO Environmental Consultancy visit our Facebook events page. Spaces are limited. BOOK HERE
MealieArt Australia has been engaged to bring the sea indoors with their impressive installation of upcycled marine art.
Whilst another local artist Mindy, from The Petri Dish has designed some rad ‘Beaches Be Cray Cray’ shirts for our staff to showcase.
Once you’re done browsing the art, take an oceanfront seat and enjoy the breathtaking view as you turn your attention to the Club’s tropical-inspired menu. Seafood lovers will delight in the range specials on sustainably sourced Queensland prawns and scallops, while indulging in exotic cocktails and icy cold beer. View our full menu HERE
