Nippers Pool Evaluation 2

Pool evaluations are held annually for all Nippers before start of season. It is mandatory for all Nippers to undergo a pool evaluation each pre-season.

Once you and your child/ren’s membership is complete, your child is eligible to participate in a pool evaluation.

The pool evaluation ensures your child is proficient in the water and has the basic swimming ability required for their Nippers age group. Nippers is not a learn to swim program and the pool evaluation ensures your child is safe in the water.

There are different skills required as children grow through their Nippers age groups. Please see column one in the Pool Skills Evaluation table to understand the skills required for each age group.

When and where will pool evaluations be held?

* Our 2022-23 season pool evaluations will held at a different location this year, on the following dates:

Where: Tallebudgera Leisure Centre, 1525 Gold Coast Hwy, North Palm Beach

When:

• Session #1: Sat 13 August (4-6pm) OR
• Session #2: Sat 3 September (4-6pm)

Please note: You need to join/renew your membership prior to arriving to this day. Please refer to our Membership page for more information.

What if we cannot make either of these dates?

You may also choose to take your child for their pool evaluation at your local pool another time. A registered level 1-swim coach can do the assessment this by filling out a Pool Evaluation Endorsement form and returning it to the Club prior to the first day at Nippers (17 September 2022).

Your child will not be able to participate in water activities at Nippers until this pool evaluation is complete.
