Young people are the future of lifesaving
Palm Beach SLSC in conjunction with SLSQ aim to provide our younger members with the opportunity to make friends and learn new skills in an enjoyable environment.
There are many ways that you can be involved in lifesaving and there are heaps of programs and activities that SLSQ and Palm Beach SLSC run to help keep you motivated, keep you involved and have a great time on the beach. We also run social activities and training sessions that make you get fitter and stronger in the water and on the sand, this makes the club have a better time together, work as a team and ready for the future carnivals.
Youth Development is for members in the U14 age group through to 25 years of age. We want to encourage fun and friendships, develop skills and abilities and make you aware of the opportunities available to you as a member of the club.
As a Youth Development cohort we tend to have events every month, to help the youth come together and get involved in the club including:
- movie nights,
- camping trips,
- beach activities (beach bash),
- we send some of the kids on Youth Camps to get to know the other surf clubs in Queensland and more fun activities.
We have a youth ball later in the season which the youth attend as well all the other Point Danger Branch clubs.
If you are new to Surf Life Saving, join now and sign up for one of our Surf Rescue Certificate (minimum age 13) or Bronze Medallion (minimum age 15) courses now!
